Suspected frozen pipe?
Tell us if the problem began during freezing weather, which taps or areas are affected and whether you can see any damage. A loss of water needs assessment rather than an assumed diagnosis.
Never use a naked flame to thaw a pipe. If you are unsure how to proceed, ask for professional advice. Discuss whether the contractor can assess the suspected frozen pipe and any resulting repair; availability must be confirmed.

Explain what you can see. The contractor can assess whether repair can be planned directly or whether further investigation is needed. Do not assume that every repair requires the same survey.
Can you guarantee an immediate call-out?
No. Explain the urgency when you call and confirm attendance with the contractor. A callback request is an enquiry, not a confirmed appointment.
Does insurance pay for the pipe repair?
Cover depends on your policy and the incident. Investigation, access, pipe repair and resulting water damage may be treated differently. Do not assume that a report or repair invoice guarantees reimbursement.
