Terms and introducer disclosure
Who we are, how introductions work and what to agree before a survey or repair.
Who operates this website
NI Leak Detection is part of the PCLA group and is operated by Property Claims Loss Assessors Limited, registered in Northern Ireland under company number NI647225.
Our registered office and correspondence address is 2 Mount Oriel, Belfast, BT8 7HR.
Our role as an introducer
NI Leak Detection introduces customers to independent contractors. You contract with and pay the contractor directly. We receive no commission or financial reward for the introduction.
We do not perform, supervise, manage or control the contractor’s work. The contractor is responsible for the services you agree with them.
Enquiries, quotes and appointments
Calling us or sending a callback request starts an enquiry. It does not confirm a price or book an appointment.
Before work begins, agree the survey scope, price, attendance arrangements and any cancellation terms with the contractor. Ask whether a written leak-detection report is included and what any additional work will cost.
Leak detection and repairs
The independent engineers usually fix the leak and carry out repairs. What can be done depends on the leak, access and the work agreed with the contractor. Repairs during the first visit cannot be guaranteed.
Detection methods are chosen for the property and suspected leak. Non-destructive methods do not mean access work or disruption can always be avoided. Agree any further access, repairs and reinstatement with the contractor.
Reports and insurance claims
If you wish to pursue a trace-and-access or water-damage claim, claim support requires a leak-detection report. Insurance cover and payment depend on your policy and circumstances; neither an introduction nor a report guarantees that an insurer will pay.
A loss assessor can prepare an escape-of-water damage survey as a separate service. This is different from the leak-detection report and is not automatically included with a survey or repair.
You can request a separate callback from a loss assessor at PCLA. We do not make cold claims calls or use enquiries for prospecting. Any claims service and its terms are explained separately.
Your rights and concerns
Nothing on this page excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, or affects your statutory consumer rights.
Contact us about an enquiry or the introduction we arranged. Raise concerns about the survey or repairs with the contractor who agreed to provide that work. You can also contact us if you need help identifying that contractor.
