Water after rainfall—but the source was a pipe
The problem
A Bangor West homeowner contacted us after water appeared on their living room floor following heavy rain. The timing suggested rainwater ingress, but the source still needed investigation.
The investigation
The engineer used moisture mapping and a borescope camera to inspect the concealed underfloor space. The checks revealed a leaking plumbing pipe rather than rainwater entering the room.
The outcome
A small section of flooring was lifted and the pipe was repaired during the same visit. A trace-and-access report recorded the findings for the homeowner’s insurer.
